What's in a name??..We have noticed that the common practice seems to have a name for RV's..
When my parents named their bus "OSCAR and their toad's name is CHARLIE"..I thought "oh that is just because they had a boat for the last thirty years and felt the need to name their new land yacht!"
Well we have now met "THE OLE DOUGH-BOY", "T-REX AND TIRAMISU II", "ACE YUKON AND ALFRED HITCH-POP" and now the latest is "BULLWINKLE AND ROCKY".
This temporary RV lifestyle is hard work..we have been busy this week...first our epiphany and now christening our rig, and it's not even lunchtime yet!! We really need to get up earlier!!
Today our plan..yes we do plan..was to go to Cape Blanco in the hopes of catching it in the sunshine and then we were off to Port Orford Heads and the Coast Guard Museum. We did manage to get all that done..well sort of….
After breakfast-more like brunch, we loaded Tucker into the BIG DAWG and headed north on the 101..
Our first stop was Elk River Road..not in the plan but the signage says there was a campsite down the road and we are always interested in looking at other campsites.
We drove about 10 miles down Elk River Road and ended up at the swinging bridge….
Our next stop today was suppose to be Cape Blanco..but the every present fog was there again..and the lighthouse is closed on Mondays.
We will have to settle for our foggy pictures from a few days ago.
We also went to the Coast Guard Museum and Port Orford Heads Trail. The Coast Guard Museum was very informative and we enjoyed the tour.
We are on the downhill side to our vacation and wishing that we still had more time..the days are just flying by!!
