the wind machine is back on…

Last night was a very windy night..with a constant wind of 20kms an hour and then gusts of 30-50..it made for a long night for this RVing widow.

I was still awake at 2:00 a.m. listening to the wind howl and feeling the trailer shake.

Finally I just put the covers over my head and went to sleep. All was fine in the morning..just like a bad dream…or a nightmare..

Although as I am writing the entry for today the wind is starting up again.. I can only hope it won't be as bad as last night..but at least I am not alone..my darling daughter arrived this morning…

Carlie arrived from the coast at 9:50 this morning...it was a bit cloudy this morning but the sun came out finally with the temperature peaking at 24 degrees celcius.

We spent the morning catching up with all the news from home and then in the afternoon we went into the town of Osoyoos for a few groceries.

After that chore was done we drove a few kilometers on Highway 3, heading east towards a view point over looking the Okanagan Valley.

All in all a nice day for mother and daughter, ending with a barbecued hamburger and corn on the cob dinner.. and a couple games of scrabble will round out this first day of Carlie's visit.

Tomorrow if the sun shines it will be a beach day and if not we will find a few wineries that offer some tastings and a trip to Okanagan Falls for the famous Tickleberry's Ice Cream..

Stay tuned for more from the windy Nk'mip.
