‘Cinderella’s signage road trip’

Our quick road trip involved 830 kilometers ..round trip…

We headed east towards the town of Hope and after a quick stop for breakfast we headed north on highway #5..the Coquihalla  Highway

It was a foggy, rainy drive through the mountain pass heading towards the town of Merrit….the windshield wipers kept getting in the way of the photos..we are not use to raindrops..it has been a while since we saw the wet stuff falling from the sky.

We stopped at the visitor’s center just off the Coquihalla Highway ..Tucker was a patient boy..waiting in the rain while we browsed.

We then headed east on Highway 97..the Okanagan Connector..the ear popping highway …next stop would be the town of Summerland.

  2. So nice to see pics of the Okanagan again. I lived in Vernon for a few years in the early 70's & absolutely loved the Valley. I worked at the'Bennett's Store for a short while plus Eatons & CP Transport in Vernon. I think part of my heart is still in the Valley. Been through all those towns you mentioned. Thanks for the trip down memory lane....:))

  3. Great looking road trip so thanks for taking us along on the tour with all those photos.

I know why you took a photo of one sign - it was so you could get the spelling of "Coquihalla" right!!!

  4. You guys are lucky to live in such a beatiful part of the country.

The photo's great as always and Tucker is one lucky boy to have all the swimming holes. Annie would love to swim with him..

  5. Did I see a sign for a "wine route"...and you didn't take it??? I would have turned on it so fast your neck would have snapped...AND..did I also see a restaurant that served "seafood, pasta and schnitzel"???? I'll be in your back seat, having some schnitzel with my bottle of wine. Beautiful area you were in...I'm envious!
