more fun in the neighbourhood….

Every night  I take Tucker and we go for a stroll around la farge Lake..just across the street from our condo.  Tonight it was my daughter and myself strolling around the lake..Tucker had a date at the river with Emmie…

This lake is five hectares in size and is home to many birds, ducks and fish..brook trout, brown bullhead, cutthroat trout, lake whitefish, and rainbow trout.   This area was  originally a quarry but in the 1970’s  the land was transferred to the city of Coquitlam and a successful reclamation project ensued.

Carlie tried her hand at the camera and captured these first two shots….good job!!IMG_1964

for us it is a quiet place to go for a walk..watch the birds, the fisherman..and find the odd geocache..a little piece of paradise in our own backyard..IMG_1965

Every season the lake looks different..with the leaves  changing in the fall and the snow on the ground .it is always a perfect place to snap a few pictures…

  2. I was interested in how some of the photos showed such clear reflections in the lake. Really nice work. Your neighborhood lake is wonderful and you are right about looking around our own backyards for things of interest.
