Nelson is located on the shores of Kootenay Lake, one of the largest lakes in British Columbia.  The population of this city is just under 10,000. Nelson is built on the side of a hill..so what goes up must come down..if you don’t mind lots of hills..this city is for you!!IMG_2710

bakerstreetcityhallthis city is filled with over 350 heritage buildings….beautifully restored pieces of history…

we are here to visit with Brenda and Ken..they left the Vancouver area  six  years ago..for the simple life in Nelson…

Brenda and I met while we were both working in the dietary department at the hospital..her husband, Ken?..Doug and I went to school with….we have had our ups and downs over the years..the kids grow up…people move away…but we are friends still the same…

31 years have gone by..we have lots of memories…when we see each other it is like no time has passed…we just pick up where we left off…she is my ‘pb and j coffee buddy’..the wine is chilled…our room is ready…let the conversations flow….stay tuned more to come…the ‘hostess  with the mostest is waiting’

  1. Good friends never really go away. We may just not see them often, but they are still there!

Loved your pics. Nelson is amazingly beautiful, as is most of BC. Enjoy your stay there.

  4. The last time I traveled the Crowsnest Highway was in January of 1975. BC is such a beautiful place & I have missed it ever since leaving there 35 years ago. Over the last couple of years we have toyed with the idea of moving to southern BC but I don't think it will happen. Had we gotten into RVing 10 years earlier we just might have made the move though.
