A triple aqua day….

we got a late start today…heading east once again towards the town of Hope..after fuelling up the jeep we headed south towards Silver Lake in the Skagit Valley…

our first stop on the gravel road was Silver Lake Provincial Campground…only about six kilometers from the highway…all the leaves are starting to change colour…a very pretty drive…IMG_3616

Tucker’s first lake today..a few throws of a stick…one happy boy again..does he not realize that it is October???2010_10_023

Our lunch stop…a spot beside the Skagit River..a  picnic lunch..and yet another place for a swim….pano

after lunch was consumed and Tucker was nice and wet..we continued another 30 kilometers towards the Ross Lake Campground….2010_10_026

after we passed this sign..we were in the North Cascades Park ..the land of red white and blue..and no border crossing???2010_10_027

the other side of the sign on the way back….there is no access to the United States from here…this was as far as we could go…IMG_3676

one more lake to swim in….Ross Lake this time…..that would be number three for our ‘golden boy’…IMG_3679

  1. Looks like you made it a dream day for Tucker,We always try to find a swimming area for the Rigg's
    I don't think they mind October water temps, but by Dec when he has to find a place that isn't frozen over he will be less enthusiastic for a swim. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna.

  7. Beautiful...awesome pics today. We've been to Ross Lake on the North Cascades Hwy in the U.S. and it was fantastic. Thanks for sharing your pics to remind us of that wonderful place. Tucker sure was a busy guy!
