what would you say?

to look in the faces almost 30 years ago..what would you say to this young couple….so filled with hopes and dreams….

what is really important?

love. honest. sincerity. integrity. trust. tenderness. time for each other.

{someone asked if I had found what I was seeking?.is there a desperation factor? I am married to my best friend..and everything else will fall into place....dreams will goes on day at a time..sometimes one hour at a time…love the one you are with because life is short..and you never know what is around the next corner}..

  1. So well said and you guys look very happy.
I also married my best friend, we didn't know it at the time of course, well she did, but then she is smarter than me. :) I figured it out pretty quick though.

    Merry Christmas!

  2. Good for you guys, don't forget you have another best friend who would lay his life down to protect you guys, give Tucker a hug too.

  3. I would have said "you are going to have a long and happy life ahead of you". For once in my life, I would have been absolutely right too!!

  4. I would say to that young couple.."Get ready for the roller coaster ride of a lifetime..turns, hills, valleys...and thrills, all rolled into one". And, by the way, I think I still have a pair of glasses like yours, ..quite the fashion statement ...or so we thought!!

  5. I love that you are so happy together. We always have to remind ourselves what is important - its easy to get caught up in trivia.

  6. Funny cuz I just looked at Bob last night and said.."wow, it's been 30 years, did you ever think we'd come this far!?" Through all our ups and downs, it's only gotten better for us.
I remember your wedding like it was yesterday and think what kids we were, what were we thinking!? Well we all must have been thinking something right cuz look where we are now!
Who also would have thought then that you and I would be in the hospital together having babies!?
Thirty years in some ways has passed by way too fast!

Now what would I say...I'd say "being married is one of the hardest things you will ever do. There will bumps and lumps along the way but work hard and work through as the rewards make it worth every single moment!"

  7. I would have said what people said to us when we got married 29 years and 1 month ago ... "bir yastikta kocasinlar" ... or to trranslate, may they grow old on a shared pillow."

  8. A cute couple in both pictures! Merry Christmas!

  9. always be one half of the other's whole....

    and communication is the key!

    you little love doves!!! ;o)

  10. I think 30 years speake's for it self and hope you have another 30. MERRY CHRISTMAS

  11. So many nice thoughts so far.

What else would I say to those two youngsters? That's easy!!!

"Guess what, kids? One day you're gonna be fulltime RVers!
And, you know what? You're gonna LOVE it!"

  12. This is Auggie Dog. I don't comment very often. I usually don't read the blog until I am at work the next day. Susan, my better half has been and always will be my dearest and best friend. I wonder how she puts up with me, but she does. We are getting closer to our prize, and I couldn't think of having anyone else to share it with but my lovely wife and best friend. Love Always, Doug (Auggie Dog)

  13. So nice to see both photos of you two, then and now. May you have many more perfect years ahead and Merry Christmas.
