Happy Moving Day!

Bigdawg and Freeway has been dark and quiet all week…

what have we been doing?.mostly just the usual  ‘unblogworthy’ things…...

But our lovely daughter is moving this weekend..so needless to say there has been packing, unpacking and organizing filling the evenings…trips to her new abode…and then returning with empty boxes to be refilled again…

Tonight was oven cleaning time…almost choked my self with the fumes from the oven cleaner…( I am very thankful that I have a self-cleaning oven)

Tomorrow morning the movers are arriving to load up all the large items…and then it will be more organizing…should be  a fun day!!…

I just noticed my countdown widget is at less than 1200 days..life may not be very interesting but the days are flying by….soon we will be down to less than 1000…one day at a time….

We are ‘keeping an eye on the prize’!!

  1. You guys sure have a lot of patience in counting down those daily days. I think I would be trying to put that length of time out of my mind hoping it would sneak up on me real quick by not thinking about it. That's the hazards of being an impatient guy I guess.

  7. At least you have movers to do the heavy lifting so that's good. Good luck with the move.

Getting below 1,000 days will be a real milestone!

  12. I started this with a countdown, but then I realized we would not meet my overly ambitious deadline so I just took it down. I try to focus on doing something toward the goal every day. Even if it is just tossing two pieces of junk I don't need!

  13. At least you have a plan. Others seem to lack one. You have a focus - hence perspective on you future lives. Very nice indeed.

  15. Moving... Yuck!! Was always one of my least favorite things to do. Bet your daughter really appreciates the help though...

  16. Moving is no fun at all, except that it forces us to go through our stuff. Your daughter is lucky that you were there to help her and not out in the boonies leading your full-time RV lifestyle!

  17. Moving and all that goes with it is painful, even if it's not your own. It is a constant to get it all set and organized. Hang in there.
The days will fly by and one day it will be there and you will think, do I have everything ready??
    Take care and be safe.
