the whining has now ceased!!..his belly is full of the fluffy buttermilk pancakes smothered in maple syrup!!

The balance of our Sunday was spent getting groceries and all the errands we didn’t get done yesterday because we were busy cleaning!!..

as for the cleaning..we are waiting for our friend to come and see what she thinks of our hard work..tomorrow?..with her cheque book??..stay tuned…there may be a new cleaning company on the horizon!!

  1. Congrats, Doug! Every guy needs pancakes at least once every 4 months - preferably more often!!

If you get paid tomorrow, and you should, maybe you can go for more pancakes??

  2. Hey, after all that work, what could a few pancakes hurt?

From the looks of that place before and after I'll bet you two could really clean up in your own business (groan...).

  4. I like the pancakes idea. Now that the seed has been planted in my mind I will not rest content until I get me some. Elmira Ontario just wrapped up their annual Maple Syrup Festival this past week-end. It is the biggest one in the world. Went there one time back in 1975 but could hardly get near all the great pancakes because of the crowds. Maybe that's where I got the chip on my shoulder about crowds. They stood between me & my pancakes!!

  7. Is that all he gets as a reward for his hard cleaning work? Pancakes? :c) He works cheap...

I'm sure your friend will be thrilled with the cleaning you've done, hope she brings some sun glasses, that place really shines!

  10. Sue, how did you make it to your age without learning how to cook a pancake, and Doug you need to grow a pair. The door swings both ways.

If you must know mr anonymous we are trying hard to eliminate bread pasta rice and potatoes from our diet..hence the reasoning behind the no pancakes ..so after our hard work yesterday I gave in..and by the way I do know how to make stinkin pancakes ! Thanks for reading bigdawg and freeway..we aim to entertain!

  13. What is it with men and pancakes!? I have flipped enough of those suckers over the years to feed a large army.

  14. Our IHOP offers 2 for 1 senior specials every day from 3-6 pm. Oddly enough, we rarely order pancakes that time of the day, but sometimes we do. Plenty of choices to pick from at IHOP!

  15. I haven't had pancakes in forever. I might have to change that after looking at the picture you posted. My mouth is watering.

  16. I really think you could make a workcamping job out of cleaning RVs! I know I would pay for a complete cleaning from time to time. I'm not sure how you would publicize it, but I think it would be a great plan if you do as good a job as you did on the condo!

  17. Merikay had a great idea - clean RV's along the way. I'd pay for someone to give mine a good cleaning right now. Do you do windowss?

Thanks a lot, Sue, now I am craving a breakfast of pancakes at IHop.

  20. Mmmmm I must admit that pancakes at IHOP sound yummy! It is my eldest favourite place to eat! And the travelling RV cleaner sounds good too. Our trailer is bran new but after a few months with the kids I am sure it will need a good clean...

  21. I've never understood the pancake thing, but men do seem to love their pancakes! I'd take an omelette every time. Covered with catsup, grated cheese, sour cream, and avacados. (Actually I think it's the toppings I love!)
