Heading home…’TOPLESS’

 

Our little ‘mini vacation’ came to an end today…but there were still more pictures to take and sights to see….

we had a leisurely breakfast at the hotel this morning and then we wandered about looking at the views from the hotel..

time for the ‘roof to come off’…..the wind in our hair and sun on our faces…perfection….

we took the exit for Sydney, and headed towards the water for just ‘one more look’…

and Paulette had told us to head down to the end of the main street in downtown Sydney…the view did not disappoint..

we were sad to see this lovely little seaside town disappear in our rear view mirror…

final stop of the day was the Swartz Bay ferry terminal..time for our ‘getaway’ to come to an end..we arrived at the terminal at 11:30  and we were loaded on the 12:00 boat!!

almost through Active Pass…just a short stretch across the Georgia Strait and we will be back on the mainland..

…thanks for riding along with us this weekend!…it was a ‘good one’..and very ‘blogworthy’…

These past few months we have learned that if you have the opportunity to meet a fellow ‘blogger’ be sure to ‘jump at the chance’..life is short..and filled with enough regrets..so seize the moment!!!

  8. Great trip, we enjoyed it, you are so right about meeting other bloggers, we have met several at our home in the last couple of years and we have decided that when we do travel until we are fulltime, we will stop to visit with other bloggers along the way. be safe out there. Sam & Donna..

  10. Thanks for the great trip! We really enjoyed seeing new and different places than our flooded cornfields..LOVED you mountain vistas ahead of us while traveling..I got sick on the ferry, but managed to contain myself:-)

  14. We haven't been to the island in about 10 years. I love it there and have plenty of relatives there but it always seems to come down to a cost thing.

  15. the cost was $75 each way..pretty hefty but worth it anyway!..we wish we could have stayed longer..but you know this working for a living seems to get in the way of having too much fun!!!
