what are you doing???

Life without camping?..pretty darn boring and not very blogworthy….

1000

What have we been doing?..not much..just working, cleaning  cooking, sleeping and repeating…

1001

I am now into my third week of being back to work..

1002

How is it?..like I never left…I have gotten use to getting up early…being semi organized with lunches, laundry, dinners..etc…

1003

How many more days of this to I have to endure?…only 993 give or take…

How is it that some bloggers can blog every day and always have something to write about??..when most of the time lately I have ‘nothin’??..I am once again in a blogging funk…the creative juices have dried up…

what’s new with us???

1005

  • one horse race this weekend a $50,000  Stakes race won by our favourite horse….Classic Alley Kat
  • Doug has a new laptop..gone is the old ‘boat anchor’ that had a mind of it’s own
  • remember the post with regards to the refund cheque?…well we got another cheque in the mail for exactly the same amount..dated July 15th…this missing cheque was found..and mailed on September 1st…very tempting to just go ahead and cash it and see what happens??

That’s our recap..told you it wasn’t very interesting…maybe this weekend will be more blogworthy??

  1. A new laptop may not be exciting but it is fun:)

  2. 993 days seems like forever, but less than 36 months sounds better.
    And holidays in 11 months.

  3. I, too, have blogging funk when we're just sitting still and not really RVing. That's how a lot of this summer has been. And some people have creative juices flowing no matter what. Not me. But the good news is, we're here whenever you do post. And we don't care what you blog about as long as we hear from you. At least once in awhile. The new laptop could be an interesting topic. Transitions issues?

  4. Hey...a new laptop is neat news, especially for Doug. Sometimes there is not a lot to say and there are some who put things out daily and maybe should only post once or twice a week in slow times. Nothing written that it needs to be daily.
Good to hear from you guys!

  5. Before I blogged I talked to my self. Often out loud. Now I talk to all of you, sometimes I actually write it all down. :~))

  6. I'm like you, I don't have much to say when we're not traveling. Actually, I do have a lot to say, I just don't think I should say it on my blog since it's about politics and religion, the two no-no blog topics. ;)

  7. I admire the energy of bloggers who post something every day, no matter how mundane but I, for one, haven't been able to do it. Recounting the dullness of everyday life while still in the work world is, well, boring. I finally decided that I would only write about things that interest me and that I think would interest my family and close friends. If it interests others, too, that's great. I do, however, try to post something weekly.

  8. Being a daily blogger I do understand about that blog funk. If I didn't enjoy writing, traveling and photography so much I would have given it up a long time ago. Posts while on the road do come much easier than one's written just sitting around the house all summer. I think there is always something to write about but making it interesting and coming up with the enthusiasm and creativity to do that is the challenge. I think you are doing just fine...........

  9. Congrats on the new laptop ... somehow they always bring new challenges with them. Not a daily blogger; in fact wouldn't even say I'm a weekly blogger ... my blog(s) are more in the form of travelogues, so no trip ... no blog, unless something out of the ordinary happens ... such as an earthquake (no repeats necessary just to give me something to write about :-))))).

  10. You know in those 993 days there are days off so you really don't have that many to work... I can't post everyday since some of my days are get up, hang around, cook, eat and sleep... You always have a fun post and I for one enjoy reading them!!!

  11. We have 961 give or take days left.seems like ever. Angela the hounds and I are leaving for a two night camping trip Thursday. Not to many camping days left around here.

  12. To me, a daily blog is just a recollection of what I've done that day. Some days are interesting, others are not.

Worrying about making them interesting to everyone is something I try not to get caught up in.

  13. I love reading your blog, about your camping trips, and your feelings about work and retirement. Can I just say..DITTO! I know 993 days seems like forever, but I'd like to switch places please. I just did a quick little calculation and it came up to 2,176 days!!! Yikes, now why did I go and do that :-( I've been talking/dreaming about retirement for at least 10 years now. Someday though, we WILL have an RV and be doing some exploring too!

  14. I think it keeps me from going nuts, to be honest. I find I tend to end up going off on a "rant" more often than not. Pretty sure it has something to do with venting all that "talking to myself" angst? Something like that. I don't know. My Dad was a huge "self talker", and we all know how we're doomed to turn into our parents! Gah!
I see people on the street "talking" to themselves, but nowadays with blue tooth and such, I'm never sure if they're schizophrenic or on the phone? Could be on the phone, a nut case, or both.
So I guess without the blog I'd need blue tooth? Just to be inconspicuous? Does that make sense?
The blog should never be "work". That would suck. Say what you want to say when you want to say it. If you don't wanna, then don't.
    There's no arm twisting.

  15. feeling the same way!! day-to-day life is so hard to blog about...glad i'm not the only one with this concern!

  16. Maybe you should count weeks and not days ... smaller number LOL!! I could blog about my day - I'm sitting in a laundromat waiting for the clothes to dry and spending my time catching up on some blogs! I sure miss my blogger friends when I don't have internet.

  17. Hi Sue, really enjoyed your post. I for one don't always have anything interesting to blog about. But, you know, I think we are among the norm. I know my life is not filled with fun and adventure every day, but I like my life just the way it is.Gives me the time to get things done and make plans for what I want to do. Your retirement date will be here before you know it.

  21. I know what you mean. I'm not a "daily blogger" either . . . and even when we're travelling, I have things to talk about every day, but not enough time to do the blogging!!!
