repeat of #13

On December 31st, 2011 we had the pleasure of meeting Allen and Lolita for the first time..

and today we were able to meet up again..

They are staying at the Pacific Border RV Park..only about a 40 minute drive from our door to theirs..

Speaking of their door..their new home on wheels is a beauty..a Bighorn Fifth wheel..

5'er Galley

nicely finished with a great layout for a new adventure of ‘full timing’..

It was great to be able to spend some time with Allen and Lolita, again..

and ‘Lily’ the wonder dog..yes, she is on the couch, making sure I do a good job of taking her photo..Does it meet with your approval, Lily?

We had a lovely dinner of lasagna, salad, garlic bread and cheese cake for dessert..

We dined outside at the picnic table…the weather was perfect…

The time passed very quickly as conversation flowed from full timing, the adjustment period, medical costs, campsites, and of course blogging and bloggers came up..not to worry, it was all good..

As our ‘friends’ are embarking on the big full-timing gig, we can only imagine the excitement and the ‘fear’ all rolled into one..

One day it will be our turn so for now we will just read all about it..

Safe travels, Allen and Lolita..may all the RV Parks be an easy ‘parking job’..

see you again when you return to the mainland..

  2. Beautiful header photo.
We wish your friends the best time ever. It is a bit scarey to think that you are driving your house down the street. But to have the freedom to go where ever you want when ever you want...there is where the excitement comes into play.

  3. One of the best things about full timing is knowing that you will meet up with these friends somewhere on the road, whether it be on the mainland or down south.

  5. Sue,

It was nice having a chance this afternoon to see you and Doug again. We really enjoyed your company. Thank you so much for the little moose, we will be thinking of a name for him and he will be in the truck on our travels. Have a Great Sunday!

  7. Yes, scary and exciting at the same time when you start off full timing.
But one of the best things is to hear younger people are envious of your life style.
Eat your heart out, some of us oldsters still love adventure. :)
