slicing and dicing..

On Tuesday our condo will be filled, 10 people for Christmas Dinner.

Oh, sure some may say, ‘small crowd’?

Over  the years we have been blessed with my parents doing the hosting of Christmas Dinner, but this year we decided to take the task off their hands..

Today was the day for  dinner preparations..chopping not shopping..

I took the turkey out of the freezer on Thursday and it happily unthawing in Carlie’s refrigerator.

..and so is the Black Forest Ham..

the cranberry sauce is made..

and the sausage stuffing..filled with celery, onion and Italian sausage

and the token Brussels sprouts..

the potatoes are peeled and ready to go..

and the carrots are sliced..just need to add some peas..

I am hoping that this Christmas dinner will go smoothly..

Tomorrow is a work day for me, so preparation is the key to a successful turkey dinner..

The only task left to do is to set the tables up..seating for 10 will be interesting and cozy, too..good thing we all like each other!

So after all the chopping, dicing and slicing and sautéing that went on today, we  just have to give a big thank you to my parents for all the hard work that they have done over the years to make these Christmas dinners a success.

We are hoping to make them proud on Tuesday!

Stay tuned for the Christmas recap..

Here is hoping that all my blogging peeps, have a Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday season…

  9. Wow, looks like a fine dinner coming up! Christmas will be just the two of us up here in Emerald Cove. Today we'll make the tortiere for Christmas breakfast, tomorrow a pork loin roast into the convection oven, and we'll open a can of cranberry sauce. It would have been much the same if we'd made it home as planned. But God wanted us here for His Son't birthday, so here we are. Merry Christmas to you and your readers.l
