The ‘mist on the lake’ was picture perfect this morning..

..never been ones to sit still for too many days in a row..we decided that today would be a good day for an ‘East-er’ Sunday Drive..

Pancakes and sausages for breakfast..IMG_1027

We headed north from the campground towards the town of Lytton and then continued to Spences Bridge..

heading ‘east’ to our first stop of the day..

A forest service campsite on the Nicola  river..

..no running water or power sites but there are clean outhouses..so that is a plus on my list of priorities..

..and of course Tucker had to get his paws wet!

We continued east towards the town of Merritt, stopping to purchase two sandwiches for lunch..IMG_1048

..our picnic spot was Alleyne Lake..frozen much to the dismay of Tucker..

IMG_1043

and there is snow on the ground too?

IMG_1046

..frozen lakes seem to be the theme today..

Kidd Lake..

..and Marquart Lake..

IMG_1053

..and even Lundbom Lake

IMG_1054IMG_1056

..maybe it is just a wee bit too early to think about spring fishing at these higher altitude lakes?

..so as we sit and enjoy our last evening here at Blue Lake..hard to believe that four days are almost done..
