‘Behind the gates?’

August 3rd, 2013

..never fails..the sun was out this morning but the decision had already been made..

Time to ‘pop down’ and head to our ‘unplanned’ last stop..

IMG_2225

36 kilometers, south east of where we are…to the home of Doug’s brother and his wife..

..behind the gates..

IMG_2248

..where the sun is out..

IMG_2229

..and there is a proper clothes-line..

IMG_2226

We are  cleaning, washing and vacuuming..

our little ‘home away from home’ has been neglected these past two weeks..

IMG_2236

..it has a few ‘screws’ loose..and some minor repairs that needed doing..

IMG_2230

..Tucker is able to run..and run some more..

IMG_2237

..the ‘cousins’ are in their enclosure..

IMG_2251

IMG_2250

Tucker and his ‘cousins’ don’t get along that well so ‘separation’ behind a few ‘gates’ seems to keep everyone ‘happy’..

..there are fruit trees..

IMG_2244IMG_2242

IMG_2240

..and horses..this is Callie..

IMG_2253

..and her baby, Mia..

IMG_2265

..lots of room  to run, for our ‘golden boy’..

IMG_2245

..and then there is the ‘weather’..after dinner the clouds rolled in..

IMG_2252

..and that big black cloud had ‘plans’ for us..

IMG_2259

..we weren’t too worried. the ‘white box’ was already cleaned and put away..nice and dry no matter what Mother Nature had planned..

IMG_2262

..even though our plans had changed we had a nice evening anyway..Steak Dinner, potatoes and salad..same dinner that was planned for the campsite, just the location where it was served changed..

Good night from Keremeos..

we are most thankful for our ‘behind the gates’ accommodations..

  2. I can see why you like to visit Doug's brother in Keremeos. Their property is gorgeous. Are they the ones that have race horses too?

  4. Wow, beautiful property. I bet Tucker loved having all that running room.

  5. I loved the pic of Tucker with his tongue hanging out. He has definitely been making use of all that room to run. Too bad the pups don't get along so they could play. But mine don't get along with anybody else either. by the way - I have a house that could use some cleaning. Tomorrow is going to be my day - I think.
