~just a little foot note on the ‘favourite husband’..I like to leave the ‘working world’ husband/wife team at home…the ones who

  • get up at ‘o’dark thirty’
  • work hard all day
  • sit on the couch after dinner and watch tv
  • are tired all week
  • and can barely find the time to have a conversation…

..ahh yes the RV life..it is what keeps us happy and each other’s ‘favourites’!

  1. It's hard to understand the "why" of RV life unless you're actually doing it.

  2. Great job on the header photo.

    Couldn't have said it better!

I did pick up on something though, Sue. Did Doug pickup the "favourite husband" comment? I was wondering who are your unfavourite husbands? lol

  5. I had to laugh at the husband comment also. But you did sum up the lifestyle really well. I can not longer even imagine living in a sticks and bricks neighborhood. Talk about being isolated from neighbors and beautiful views. Sure do love your new rig.

  6. Having my OWN bed while traveling. We RV'd 5 years before fulltiming. Now in our 5th year and now ready to slow down yet.

    Yum, Amaretto!

  10. That about covers it, Sue! Even though we don't travel full time, the get-away aspect of RVing suits us well.

  12. We RVing folks are so fortunate to have discovered this adventuress lifestyle. Hard to imagine so many folks who haven't enjoyed the pleasures you mentioned.

  13. Soooo true...If I could only convince MacGyver to try it for one full year...Seems like we only get away one time and that is for the Winter...I would love to go out West in our Hiker, but that won't happen in December!

  16. Excellent reasons, Sue!! I remember those days of being so tired from work, then coming home to make supper and then finally get to relax in front of the TV for an hour, before the vicious cycle starts all over again! We escaped the rat race only 6 years age, feels like 20! Getting away from it all is a little taste of being retired: enjoying the moment without time constraints. Hugs, Kathy
