Knickers in a knot..

The day had finally come when we had to venture on back to the ‘big city’..

We were up at ‘0-dark thirty’..who gets up at this ‘ungodly hour?’..

Ready to roll and it wasn’t even 5am?..

….there of course was not much traffic and before we knew it we were crossing over the Port Mann Bridge..

IMG_0391

..the last remaining section of the bridge…

IMG_0392

…is it nice to be back?..not too sure yet..

IMG_0393

..and then there it was..something we haven’t been a part of in a while..

TRAFFIC..

IMG_0394

..our first stop of the day was to take Tucker to  his old stomping grounds..time for him to get de-stink-ti-fide..

IMG_0396

We were  a bit early for our next appointment so we went for a walk at Rocky Point Park..

IMG_0404IMG_0397IMG_0403

..the trees had pants on..knitted knickers..don't know why?

IMG_0399

next stop was my  doctor’s appointment..

IMG_0409

..then it was Doug's turn..

two appointments for him.... doctor and then the chiropractor..

IMG_0410

..with the medical visits done for the morning we headed back to Coquitlam to visit with my parents for a couple of hours..

IMG_0411

…and one last stop in the afternoon was the dentist..a cleaning and one  filling..

IMG_0412

..done for the day now.. We had originally planned to head back to Merritt after all the appointments but plans changed..

IMG_0413

..a room for the night..

IMG_0414

..nice soft water..unlike the hard water we have been using for the past few months..

IMG_0415

..and a hair dryer with 1875 watts..its amazing what you miss ..just the little things..

We had dinner at the Olive Garden with Carlie and Adam

IMG_0417

.. a great evening out…and a gift for our anniversary!!

IMG_0419

..it was nice  to be back  in the lower mainland but the next morning we still had a  few more errands to do..and then it was time to head back to reality..

IMG_0407

..our time here at the park is coming to an end..one more long weekend to work through…and then the ‘seniors’ will arrive and the kids will be back in school..

..the end is near..

  1. Can't wait to hear about your travels once you leave Monck Park. You have a standing invitation to join us at Safari Park in Ilwaco, WA! I've heard of knitting projects for trees, but knickers, that's a new one!

  2. Looking forward to seeing what comes next. It seems like you have been there a very long time! Ahh traffic and doctors. What could be more fun than that?! Happy Anniversary once again, albeit late.

  3. Glad to see you are still able to smile after getting back in heavy traffic.
    Be safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.

  4. Wow, you got a lot done in just one day!!
Maybe the "knickers" were to prevent tree crotch rot, where water collects at the center of the two main trunks, making it rot.
It's nice to have a taste of what we use to have...except the traffic! :)
