The ‘Cavalry’ Has Arrived?

May 7-16, 2017

Spring has sprung and the weather that rolls in over the lake is every changing..

This morning, May 16, we woke to a light dusting of snow?..Merry Christmas!?

The birds are aplenty here at the park..

005

a Momma Goose, sitting on her nest..

009

another Momma..this time a killdeer, taking up residence in one of the ‘sites’..

The eagles are busy fishing..

014

012

and the ‘hawks’or is that an osprey?

024

Tucker is ‘waiting patiently..

001

for the arrival of the ‘Cavalry?’

Here comes that very familiar rig…

002

003

…Tucker was so happy to see his ‘favorite cookie suppliers’

004

and so were we..so nice to have some more assistance  at the park this season..

We are most fortunate to have two regular volunteers that have been at the park for a few years now..the two of them are irreplaceable but the newbies will be a great addition to the ‘crew’..

025

The compound is alot ‘fuller’ than it was a few days ago..but we are so happy to be parked side by side again..

008

The first day of work for ‘our newbies’ was Monday, May 15..

..right back in the swing of things!!.didn’t take them too long to  catch on…

stay tuned for more from Tunkwa Lake…

007

..we are just about to embark on the ‘busiest weekend of the season’..more about that once it is ‘over’!!

BTW Your "hawk" maybe a juvenile eagle by the size of that beak. Birders Paradise!
